High-end materials and artisanal manufacturing
We make our fountain pens as they were made in the past.
We believe that a great fountain pen should be designed with precise features and made by using the most suitable materials for a ready-to-go handwriting and with the highest quality standards.
To make a great fountain pen only with the best materials is not enough. Wise hands that know how to work and how to assemble them is mandatory. That is why we chose to continue a story that began many years ago making our fountain pens through a completely handcrafted process. Each of our fountain pens is handmade at every component working steps.
The heart of a fountain pen
The heart of every SCRIBO fountain pen is the nib and we do it in gold, which is the best material and a clear choice to get the best available handwriting performance; this precious material, in either the classic 18-carat alloy or the special Extra-Flexible 14-carat alloy, has elasticity, mechanical memory and softness that highlights every fountain pen writing quality. In particular, SCRIBO Extra-Flexible nib, a real jewel for handwriting, reached the highest hand-writing performance thanks to the continuous technical improvements that have been made during our previous experience.
Paper and Inks
dedicated to our Fountain Pens
To accompany our nibs, we exclusively use ebonite made feeders, a vulcanized natural rubber, which well adapts its shape to the one of the nib and allows a perfect ink flow from the tank to the nib tip. Our numerous inks, exclusively made in Italy, are water-based and have been specifically created for the SCRIBO piston filling system.
Our paper, made in collaboration with the best paper-workers from our territory, has been created to enhance the fountain pen and handwriting, both with rigid and extra flexible nib.
