Description
FEEL Corteccia
Where the material leaves its mark
Nature is never still. It changes surface, it absorbs light, it grows, it transforms. It retains the traces of time and, at the same time, continues to generate new ones.
From this tension between permanence and transformation, a new chapter of the SCRIBO FEEL collection takes shape: Resina and Corteccia.
Two interpretations of the same landscape. Two ways of entering into a relationship with natural matter: on the one hand, what seems to emerge, reflecting light, changing with the gaze; on the other hand, what appears deeper, terrestrial, marked by slow and silent growth.
They are not simply two shades. Resina and Corteccia build a story made up of surfaces, light, vegetation and time. A story that finds its continuity in the gesture of writing.
Because writing is also an encounter with matter. The hand meets the instrument, the nib meets the paper, the movement becomes a sign. An immediate gesture that leaves a trace destined to remain.
FEEL Corteccia – the surface of time
If FEEL Resina suggests what emerges and transforms into light, FEEL Corteccia observes nature from a different perspective.
The tree cortex is surface and protection, but it is also a visible memory of growth. It marks the boundary between what appears and what continues to live underneath. Over time it collects irregularities, variations, stratifications: not as ornaments, but as traces of a process.
It is a material that tells the story of time without measuring it.
FEEL Corteccia was born from this suggestion: a more earthly, deep, rooted nature. The name recalls the trunk, the forest, the roots, but above all the ability of natural surfaces to transform the passage of time into a sign.
Here the matter does not seem to flow. It seems to settle.
Every detail evokes a more collected, more intense presence: the silent strength of what grows slowly, is structured, it resists. Not a nostalgic image of nature, but a contemporary interpretation of it, made up of depth and character.
Ruthenium finishes accompany its identity with a precise and contemporary contrast. For the version available online, Corteccia can be chosen with rose gold finishes: a second reading of the same inspiration, capable of amplifying the warmer and brighter component without changing its character.
Corteccia also finds its fulfillment in writing. The hand perceives its presence, the gesture passes through it, the nib carries on paper a sign that is born in the instant but can be preserved over time.
Two forms of the same landscape
Resina and Corteccia do not tell two different natures. They tell two ways of observing it.
One looks at the light that passes through and modifies surfaces. The other at the traces that time leaves on matter. One suggests movement, the other sedimentation. One emerges, the other guards.
Together they build a landscape of complementary contrasts: light and depth, transformation and permanence, surface and root.
It is the same balance that belongs to writing. Every word is born in a precise moment, but it can remain beyond that instant. Every gesture is immediate, yet it leaves a trace. The hand moves, the paper welcomes, the sign remains.
With FEEL Resina and FEEL Corteccia, SCRIBO continues to explore the relationship between what we perceive through touch and what we transform through writing.
Two distinct identities, united by the same attention to the material and the gesture.
Nature transforms matter. Writing makes it a sign.
